Duty Manager
As a team member you will help with growing our reputation in the local food scene and our profile as one of Bristol’s only venues offering free music 7 nights a week. Juggling busy food services, artist liaison and a thriving cafe/bar to a high standard, yet with a laid back professional atmosphere. We’re looking for a great communicator, a team player with a positive attitude, and a fast learner. Someone who is as passionate as we are about great food, drinks, live music and friendly service
Job details
- 35 – 40 hour working week – promoting a wholesome work-life balance
- A mix of day & night shifts. We are open 7 days a week for lunch & dinner and flexible working patterns may be possible
- £12.84 per hour with annual pay review
- 28 days holiday per annum (inc. bank holidays)
- Management training from industry leading operations team
Job responsibilities
- Leading a great shift: Ensuring the team are organised for service and roles are delegated effectively
- The venue: Create a welcoming atmosphere and be the point of contact for our team and customers
- The face of our venue: Welcoming visitors to our venue and serving them with a smile, knowing all there is about our food and drink to help them make a great choice
- Multi skilled: You’ll be trained in all areas of the business, from serving customers, to making cocktails, coffees and serving our delicious food
- Spread The Canteen Love: Greet customers with a smile and ensure they have the perfect Canteen experience
- Work as a Team: Be part of a fun and supportive team, always willing to lend a hand
- Keep Things Running Smoothly: Assist with all kinds of tasks like keeping stock organised, keeping the restaurant clean and promoting the business
- Learning and developing: We offer training to help you develop and learn valuable hospitality skills
